TransCen, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving educational and employment outcomes for people with disabilities. Working on both local and national projects, TransCen—a name adopted to illustrate its role as a “transition center”—is known for its training and technical assistance in school to work transition initiatives, systems change in education, career development of individuals with disabilities, and related research and dissemination.

Mathematica Policy Research is a policy research organization that has been assessing the effectiveness of policies and programs for over four decades. Mathematica has conducted numerous disability studies, including fundamental evaluations of employment supports for people with severe disabilities and large surveys of people with disabilities. Its Center for Studying Disability Policy (CSDP) informs disability policy makers and service providers with rigorous, objective research and data collected from the people disability policy aims to serve.

Institute for Community Inclusion

The Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) located at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and Boston Children’s Hospital is a national and international leader in promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities. ICI offers training, clinical, and employment services, conducts research, and provides assistance to organizations to promote inclusion of people with disabilities in school, work, and community activities. Its projects and programs involve local, state, and national agencies, schools, institutes of higher education, national service programs, rehabilitation providers, multicultural organizations, employers, and many others.

The Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation is composed of the chief administrators of the public rehabilitation agencies serving individuals with physical and mental disabilities in the States, District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories. The Council’s mission is to maintain and enhance a strong, effective and efficient national program of public vocational rehabilitation services which empowers individuals with disabilities to achieve employment, economic self-sufficiency, independence, and inclusion and integration into our communities.
